It's usually cable tied to the breather tubes at the rear of the plenum. Make sure it's not twisted and the cable tie is not to tight. Its a good idea to tie it so as the end of the tube is not pointing upwards, this helps prevent any possible ingress of water

Yes, normally slung up back of plenum near breather pipes. Make sure the open end is facing downwards (but not kinked).  It is not connected to anything, it vents to atmosphere.

if its been hanging down by the box , it may have been leaking fluid too, so worth doing a fluid level check (there's a how to in the maintenance guides) after you have sorted it out.

Worth changing the fluid, unless you know its been done recently....

I would do the fluid change as TB says.  It may be you have lost fluid and so its overheating.

When you drain the fluid (both sumps) you should get about 5L out (well I did anyway..) - much less and its probably been leaking.

hallo again, just got it back from my garage man and he thinks the pipe had come adrift from the ties and was hanging lower than the oil level in the box which caused it to syphon, he has put a new pipe on and tied it up so i will go for a test drive tomorrow and see, thanks for your input lads will keep you posted helen.

highly likely - in which case it WILL now be low on oil,  so you need to top up or better change fluid as a priority before driving it.   (Didn't he tell you this..?)
