Break it or sell it that is the question
« on: 12 September 2007, 17:19:53 »

White ex plod 3.0l elite 145000 automatic 1997 "R"

Recently had new oil cooler exhaust manifold gaskets and rocker cover gaskets

Autobox is slipping

MOT due in November as is the tax

I have been given a newer car by my Dad for free

What am I likely to get for the beast as is, or am I likely to get more by breaking it?

Advice and opinions greatfully recieved.

That would be a shame after all the work you have done on it..

Have you tried changing gearbox fluid?

No having an issue removing the drain plug as it has been rounded off.

I have a replacement plug but no means of getting old one off >:(

with the mileage and lack of mot i would (dare) to suggest more in breaking. if you break it properly  :)

But it would be a shame to break the beast  :'(

you can drop the sump off without draining it.   You only get about a litre out of the plug hole anyway.   Be prepared for a soaking though!

But with little MOT and apparently knackered box I can't see selling it being worthwhile.

Would you be interested in selling it? I would consider it if the price was right?  :y
