speed sensor

Hi,

I ask some mechanics or people around me about the speed sensor..Where is it exactly and what function have...Nobody have idea..They think its the odometer or ABS sensor... :)


Any information or ideas ?

There are wheel speed sensors on all four hubs which are uses as inputs to ABS and traction control.
One of the sensors (cant remember which) is also used to drive the speedo, info display and auto gearbox ecu.
