Ive got a mouse too....
« on: 21 September 2007, 20:38:23 »

Been home for a bout 20mins.....when i hear a scrabbling noise going on in the kitchen.....so i assumed it was Holly and went to see what she was upto......No Holly insight  :-/

Then a mouse popped outa Holly's food bag and scarpered behind the tumble dryer.....
How the mouse got in there in first place is amazing.
Her food is those Pedrigree 3k/2.5k bags resealable type that was upright on top of tumble dryer.

Then the mouse made a move for behind the fridge/freezer.....

Dunno where it is now......Holly's been having a good sniff about in the kitchen now.

So its off to the hardware shop in the morning for a mouse trap......and bait it with dog food.....as that mouse seems to like it  :o

Will have to shut Holly outa kitchen tho when trap is put down.....otherwise she'll end up with the trap attached to her nose  ;D

I can only assume the mouse has recently 'come in' as i havent seen any evidence of a mouse.

Tho im about to take Holly for her walk......so i'll leave the back door open and the kitchen to dinning room shut......so with a bit of luck the mouse might bugger off  :-/

Get a cat.  It won't catch the mouse, but it will give Holly something to catch whilst shut away from her food....

Leave your keys by the back door, i could do with an LPG estate, this 2.6 is costing me a fortune in fuel, worth it though.

I think its living behind the kitchen units...heard a noise just now.....so i might get brave in a bit and have the plinth off.....with a bit off luck if i keep all the doors shut except the back door it will make a runner for outdoors  :y

Had a little mouse incident while camping in italy. Emma spotted some droppings around the bag that we had our clothes in. Then she noticed it had made a nest amongst my (clean) underpants >:(.

She was amused.

Well the little buggar is clever  >:(

I bought two traps this morning and put one on the kitchen window sill (one place i know its been getting, next to fish food pellets) and one next Hollys food on top of the tumble dryer (where i saw it)

And baited them with Hollys food (quick a chunky nugget size)

Went off too work this afternoon.......just got in and both traps have gone off......food gone but no mouse  >:(

So just rebaited with fish food pellets ( i know it likes them too! ) but they are a lot smaller and a lot harder to remove. Unless of course the mouse is that bloody clever its setting the traps off first then grabbing the food  :o

Im sure it will visit again soon, hopefully tonight.......then we'll see how clever it is  ;D
