heat from a digital air con
« on: 10 September 2007, 10:35:46 »

hi

quick question to see if i can fix it or is it a dealer visit.

i've digital air con on a 98 MV6 which has the seperate temperature controls between passenger and driver.

when on cold it is cold, but i can't seem to get hot air out of the driver's side, even on HI.
i can get heat out of the passenger side, but the drivers side is always cool, even on ECO.

any suggestions from the amassed guru's?

cheers

You can reset the servo's by pressing and holding auto and off for about 5 seconds which may help
but this sounds more like a detached pipe or something.

tried the reset, but no difference on the lack of heat from the drivers side.

does this mean a dealer visit?
what are the dealer hourly rates roughly?

cheers

When you did the reset sequence, did you hear anything happening?

Well that's what you should hear, so at least you've ruled out the very easy fix :(

Check the actuator rod on the blend flap servo in the drivers foot well has not come detached.

heat sorted TVM.

yes it was one of the arms that was not attached in the drivers footwell, seemed to have a cable tie that had to be pulled and placed to allow heat.

all working fine now.
