I started the job of removing the Scuttl tray took the nuts off the wipers but could not lift the off is there any thing eles i would have to remove to get them off. Tryed to lift it but no good?.

There's a knack to it.... a sharp tap or lots of wiggling! If all else fails then you could try a small 'puller'.

there are plastic screws under the rubber against the windscreen

and the scuttle sometimes has a torx at drivers side..

What can't you get off, the wipers or the scuttle?

For wipers, remove bung, nut and washer, then press hard, and wiggle at the hinge of wiper arm.

For scuttle, remove wipers, the 8 plastic clips under the windscreen rubber, the torx screw drivers side, and the rubber strip at front of scuttle. Also, unclip bonnet cable from scuttle.

WoW that was quick . Thanks guys. Its the wipers that i could not get off. Was trying to get it off to get better access to the Y spilt pipe at the back to clean it.

I've been able to do just about everything without removing the scuttle (spark plugs, hbv, breathers).  I finally ordered one of these of ebay last night because I need to get to the Y/pcv hose too!

If you are removing the scuttle, you may find that you are unable to remove the wiper arms from the spindle.  If this is the case, you will need one of these:

gently pull the wiper blade up ( into the position you have them in when washing the car) and push down on the arm with the bolt removed whilst wiggling it, they will come off.

Finally got my wiper arm off - broke the plastic knob on remover tool in the process from turning so hard.  I thought the motor shaft broke it snapped so hard after breaking loose!

Most people on here remove their wipers with a determined wiggle and a pull.....

Then there are cars like yours..... I know, I've been there.  

If you want to join the wiggle and pull crowd, you MUST apply a copper based grease before re-assembly.
