Electric window reset - facelift
« on: 29 September 2007, 12:02:54 »

Hi there, haven't been on the forum for a while, Mrs BigCat and I have been travelling to Italy and back in the lovely Omega.  :)

I can't remember how to reset the electric windows once the battery has been disconnected. I tried a search, and I know the answer is here somewhere, but to no avail.

While I'm at it, the reason I disconnected the battery is to try and reset the Climate Control, does anyone know how to do that?

Thanks Razzo, I'll do the windows when I get to my car.

As for the climate reset, that doesn't do the trick for me. What holding both on and auto does is reset the position of the vents/doors (I can hear them moving back and forth). I think I'll put up a separate post.

Supplementary question
I used to be able to close windows/ sunroof by holding the remote close button down but since fitting new battery I have lost the ability
Please how can I reinstate it?

Simply by resetting windows and sunroof, that should work again...

Windows & roof were done and work properly on their own switches, but not on the remote!
Curious

Does it still work if you use the key to lock (lock with key, but hold in locked position)?

I didn't know it was supposed to do that as well!
I tried the remote again & held the button down longer - and the windows closed!
Clearly I'm too impatient
Thanks TB
