I got a set from Vx on TC for  £69.60 + vat ... don't think you'll beat that for genuien Vx bits... which the "experts" seemed to recommend as well. Took about 2 hours to do both... second side much faster than the first  :)

£69.60 that sounds cheap, is that for all four discs and pads as well?

I have just changed mine and used gen vx using the tc £69.60 +vat =£81.78  retail is £96 +vat
but do not make the mistake I did I assumed I only needed the pads so I purchased them on there own £12.84 +VAT £15.09 Then found the discs were shot . After posting on here I discovered that there is a deal with the tc and that there is actually a kit that you buy part no 93175466 that includes the two discs and the pads  . Bloody heavy when you pick it up too . Just be aware it does not include the wear sensors if you need them these are also on tc and are £6.82 each  +vat you need two of these one for each wheel . There are some on ebay at the moment that are cheaper

Just front discs and pads. I reused the wear sensors as they had not "activated"

I'm impressed you got the wear sensors off in one piece - they normally crumble in my experience.

The wear sensors tend to be a bit fragile  :y That was the reason I checked my pads in the first place the sensor had broken up causing the warning to come up on the display. I investigated the pads which still had plenty of life left in them but the ofs side disc was badly worn so ended up changing the whole lot . Just as a side note I took the car in to a local vx dealer for a free visual health check a couple of weeks later and they reported front brakes condition as only 95% which surprised me slightly as they are obviously brand new  :-/

Not sure if you have a GLS or Elite from your profile? but if GLS you will likely not have the wear sensors. (My 94 GLS did not).

Omegavxr yes thats correct . I think if you turn your wheels on full lock you may be able to see behind the wheel if you have the sensors there is a coonector close to the suspension strut If I remember it is close to the brake lines  :y
