tyre
« on: 03 October 2007, 20:09:02 »

Out of the blue last weekend the rear off side tyre was flat when I went to the car, took the wheel/tyre to ATS, they could not find anything wrong, re-fitted the tyre, again today the tyre is flat.

Anyone have any ideas

leaking from rim. Lay wheel flat and put washing up liquid around the join between wheel and tyre and wait for bubbles

when checking round the rim, be sure to check the inner side aswell :y

neighbour theory could quite well be the culprit, did the tyre people check the valve?

Get the tyre taken off again and ask the fitter to clean the rim edges before fitting the tyre. Most tyre bays use a lub/sealent compound as std now, and should cure the problem, if not check the hole  for the valve for dirt/damage. HTH.
