drivers door catch

hi everyone just joined the the omegas forum and would like some advice on the drivers door catch this is the part of the door that keeps it open mine seems to be missing from the door panel itself the metal bar is there but no catch on door side can this be replaced as i am not sure about it myself and if so is it easy to do ....any advice please

Hello and welcome  :y If you have a look at top of the page you will see the search icon click on this and try entering crack of doom that should bring up something that will help you  :y

 I know you have only just joined but it would help if you fill in some details in your profile mainly the engine and year of the car oh and your location there may be someone local to you that may be able to help  :y

Yes, not uncommon. There is a repair kit to fix, though most dealers insist there is not...

Have a little search on the site as said, if you need further help, just let us know :y

Update your profile with car and location - someone local may be able to help ;)

Mine had the same problem, and I repaired it as mentioned in the above posts. You'll probably find the mechanism is lying in the bottom of the door once you take the door card off, that's where mine was.

Mine was in the botton of the door but was goosed anyway. IIRC a new one was around £20 from Vx
