Whilst we're on the subject I have to put a thumbs up to vauxhall and say that the Omega seats do wear particularly well and retain their comfyness. Our velour still comes up great after a valet with 130k on the clock. Similar ones on the bay look just as good.  :-?

I have to agree there, mine still look like new and the car has 170k on the clock :o The heating still works in both seats too. Pity I can't share the same confidence in the bodywork ;)

hehe! Yours will be alright Paul, it's a late one. Plus, it's polished every half hour  :)

We had a drivers seat heater replaced on ours at about 60k which had left a tiny blemish in the fabric, but as said, the car gets a fair bit of use and interior still looks great.

I thought a "sport" was basically an MV6 but with a smaller engine..?

would it have the brushed alu look inside and mv6 seats?
Yes, spot on.

For the new shape omega (2003 as suggested) the 'Sport' model is a 2.2 4cyl. The MV6 2.6 or 3.2. Sport not as common, though I do know of a guy with a sport estate  8-)

It has basically the same interior, recaro sports cloth trim and silver trim as suggested. Also has the sport suspension and xenon lights, just as an MV6.

Basically, YES the 'sport' model seats that you have been offered will do the job a treat and look the bizz  :y

A 2.2 Sport was on sale locally for over a year - started at £5000, then it disappeared from sale about 9 months ago.

Still a nice car and still a whole load of motor for the money!  :y I particularly like the front bumper on the Sport and MV6 models, it looks more.....well.......sporty!  :) You don't see that many around really.

mine seems to have leather sport recaros, with leccy up/down. But no dippy mirror. By the way I have steering controls with sc804 , they dont work. Wrong stereo???????
sports leather an Elite option, but you lose memory and mirrors.

sc804 doesn't support remote control

Has the stereo or wheel been changed? There is no plug in headlining for dippy mirror. Is loom different.

If sc804 is wrong, is correct head any better? It sounds fine but not when loud . I was praying for bose when i bought the car, however its done 18k with nothing but fuel, oil & filters.

Bose came in with 1998 car.

If the Sports seats were ordered, you lose all the memory functions, and a standard mirror is fitted.

I must say, 200 mile journey in my MV6, not a hint of back pain. Comfiest seats I've ever sat in, in a car. :)

I think the MV6 leathers are very comfy - done 900miles in a day with no problems.

But everyone is different - some people reckon Focus seats are comfy  :o
