MV6 (Catera) Rattle in back Box/Rear Muffler
« on: 12 October 2007, 14:32:45 »

I have a 98 catera (3.0 MV6) and have what sounds like a loose baffle or something loose in the Muffler/Back box has anyone had this problem?  What can i do to stop it? I have heard to drill some long metal srews into it and hopefully i will hit and secure loose baffle.  Good Idea? how are the interior baffles alliged inside the box?  Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks -Pete  :)

I've not seen the inside of Omega/Catera backbox but have seen inside other's I would guess the design is similar. The pipe from the centre box runs into the backbox and is perferated, they rust in between these holes and eventually break off. As The boy says it's probably time to invest in a new one
