Anyone ever read a book ?
« on: 01 October 2007, 20:04:12 »

Apparently there pretty good  :-/ only ever read car magazines since my uni days though...

Anyway im out the country in a while for a while and need something decent to read on the beach. No OOF  :(

Dont like fiction, prefer paperback for travel and like (auto) biographies.

Big on Football ( already have Rangers Captains book in case) oh and im sure i have something from Jeremy Clarkson...

Anything else recommended?

I did, several whilst on holiday, and it made an enjoyable change. Clarkson's books are good, but probably because he shares my cynical view of the world ::)

.. But now it's back to factual stuff like how to make cars go faster and make geeky gadgets. Oh, and how to weld, which is probably a good one to figure out now I've bought a MIG.

Also try Sea Harrier Over The Falklands for the fighter pilot side and laugh at the thrashing the Yanks get in trials

:)I read a book once, i remember it well, it was green!
Joking aside read Chris Moyles & Gordon Ramsey's biographies recently. Generally read the odd paperback @ work, nothing too deep.
    Childhood reads?
Winnie the pooh :- Now we are six.
Dr. Zuess :- Cat in the Hat, Green eggs & ham etc.
Beatrix Potter, Enid Blyton, Jennings schooldays......
      Beano annuals @ Xmas. [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

Don't bother with "The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocolypse" - it sounds great but fails to deliver.

My favorite author (that's the bloke that writes the books) is Shaun Hutson, and if you ask niceley in a Library they even let you borrow them without paying. :)
