Key fob increase range?
« on: 29 October 2007, 15:26:38 »

Does anyone know how to increase the keyless entry range?  I always have to be within 5-10 feet of the car for this to work.  Battery on the unit is good.

Thanks in advance.

I have tried this, but it only seems hit or miss.  I'm jealous of those people who can open their car from inside their homes!  I always seem to have fidgety passengers who can't wait to open the door  >:(

Yep JK on Top Gear showed, if you hold your fob to your head, hay presto.

I can turn mine on, and of at a blink of an eye, no side affects.  ;)

Yes the head thing does work, the range of mine is fine if approched from front right (45 degrees from drivers side) if approched from other angles the range drops, must be something to do with the position of the receiver. The battery condition of the remote will also have an effect.  :y
