:)Big thanks to all & sounds 2k for posting part nos. That enabled me to spell it out to VX Immingham & the said parts are ordered. I pointed out to him that i'd managed to find part nos. that they could'nt.
   I've ordered 4 plates & 4 bolts although i only need 2 of each so if anyone leaves changing thier washers too late like i did i'll have a spare repair kit set aside for anyone who needs it, free by way of thanks to all the help i've been given.
   Passenger door all done, hope to do driver door this w'end. Oh & yes i made a point of telling him where i scourced my info!!!!

Do I understand correctly that failing to change the bush (I'm assuming this is the white thing that fits at the check strap to car connection?) results in torn door ? Or is this another bush/washer you are reffering to? I have changed the white bushes to overcome the crack of doom - just wonder if there is something else..

I was wondering that, too. Mine creaks a little and I have been meaning to pick up a new bush to do it but haven't with any urgency. Unless it seizes solid (maybe it does) I can't see how it would do any damage.
