hi i have a vauxhall omega 2.5 1999 my problem is i put the drivers window down it went half way now it wont go up.you press the button you here a click and window goes up a wee bit but back down to same position.ive took the panel of but its hard to get into anything also the motor that drives the window is very hot is it the motor thats away and also does anyone know how to get it up till i get a new one if its the motor cheers

The windows have a system within them to prevent them being closed onto a hand or head or similar....  It works by reading the 'resistance' of the window travelling through the felt guide s that when it meets resistance, cuts the power and goes into reverse.

Look for a sticky bit in the window channel or a piece of dirt or grit or similar.

Or it could be one of the control arms in the door mechanism that has got something jammed in it...
