« on: 15 December 2007, 22:59:12 »

My omega has the 2.5 td engine. Since it was an ex-taxi there have been a lot of modifications done to it 1 of whjch is the vacuum pipes. They all run blind 2 nowhere! Is there any possibility i could find schematics of them?

Not sure about the vacuum pipes, though TheBoy here would probably know then by heart as he took this engine out....

But why do you think that because it was a taxi the engine has been modified?

Not much vac used on TD. Obviously the heating controls, as per petrol. Only other vac is EGR from memory.

Being a diesel, it has a vac generator, rather than using inlet pressure and vac tanks

There is smth that resembles an electromagnetic valve with 2 pins(plug) and 3 pipes coming out of it . 1 with the word "vac" other with the word "out" and third with word "atm". There is also 1 small square sensor with 3 pins(plug) and 1 pipe coming out of its base. In front of the inlet manifold there a reception for a pipe (which would allow part of the exhaust emissions to enter the inlet manifold). There is another receptor for a pipe underneath the inlet manifold. And there is another (actually there are 2-but 1 is used for the heater -as mentioned above) on the power brake pipe. My question is, does anyone know which pipe goes to what receptor?

Thanx
