Has anyone successfully managed to repair a heated front seat? the driver's side  one is not working, think it might be heater mat itself as the light above the switch works , fuse ok and any connectors I can see are all intact, I noticed that with just ignition on and then switch on passengers side the warning lights on the dash dim slightly, so that's drawing current , but when switching on the driver's side warning lights don't dim at all so I guess there's an open cicuit somewhere  , any suggestions welcome

It's not difficult to remove a seat, just make sure you've had your Shredded Wheat first though - they're heavy.

To be honest AndyB, I'll probably not bother doing it , as more I think about it, 2008 will probably see the car going to a new owner as I'm getting fed up with the thing to be honest (one problem after the other) and might settle for something like a simple Ford Focus or the such like at least they can't be anymore fragile than these damn Omegas surely!!

I have to admit that I quite like driving my diseasal Astra (apart from the extra pedal ). The only concession to toys are the leccy windows in the front, apart from them there's bugger all to break. I don't need to worry about anybody banging into it with their doors on Tesco (other super markets are available  ) car park. It's just a shed to use & abuse and get me to & from work.

I have to admit that i detest my Festa, as everything about it is poo compared to the Omega, and it costs more to run as well.

apart from the £1000 less for the kids to be insured to drive.
