Ignition barrel removal

Hi can someone tell how get the ignition barrel out?

It is covered in Haynes reasonably well as I recall.

Basically you need the key in position 1 and poke a pin/nail through a little hole parallel to the steering column to release the catch.  Obviously you need to remove the plastic shroud around the ignition lock first.

hi i cant find the hole, i cant see anyway of getting it out?

The hole is circled here...(barrel already removed)

The short end on an 2.5mm ?? allen key seems to do the trick, key in position one, push the allen key into the hole and you should feel it depress the latch and the barrel should pop out.
