Outside Temp reads "F Degrees"?
« on: 06 January 2008, 11:12:23 »

Happy New Year to all, this is my first visit of 2008.

On my 2002 MV6, I noticed my heating was blowing cold the other day, which is perfect in these conditions.  It would heat up however when I set it to 'High' and within seconds the cars interior was like the devils oven.

If I turned it down just a few degrees to say, 24 degrees, it would start bowing cold again, there's no temperature control.

I also noticed that the exterior temp sensor isn't working.  It either displays something silly like 46 degrees or it simply shows 'F' (Fault?).

It would seem the two are connected.  There's heat there, but the car seems unable to regulate the interior temperatures.

Can anyone offer any advice or assistance?

Thanks

Neil

Thought it might be faulty temperature gauge or something like that.

Can anyone supply a picture or detailed description of the temperature gauge and it's location please?   :y

Its a facelift so its centre of the bumper below the washer tank.....easy enough to spot/feel with the bonnet open.

The climate also takes information on outside temperature from it.
