Front ride height?
« on: 16 January 2008, 12:42:46 »

Could one or two of you possibly measure the front ride height of your Omegas for me please?  Best done through center line of wheel to the wheel arch vertically.
I think either mine has sunk a bit, or the springs are weak (unlikely it's been lowered) as I keep scraping the front air dam on the downside of speed bumps, and it just in general looks a bit "nose down"
Thanks.

What about your rear ride height.  Do you have self adjusting suspension, by any chance?  Could be the rear going to overheight which can cause a slight downward pivot to the front spoiler around the front wheels.....

Not self leveling a fasr as i'm aware.  That was an elite thing wasn't it?.

Rear ride heights on an unladen estate also welcome then.

When I last looked into this it was an optional extra, as far as I could
make out, and not based on trim levels.
For obvious reasons the Estate version was likely to be the body style
that requested this optional extra.

If you have it, you'll see air pipes connected to the rear shocks
that connect to a compressor under your driver's front wheel arch.

Hi BC, I've just nipped out and measured mine (02 facelift saloon). Almost level surface, slightly uphill and both sides between 26.25" and 26.5".

'00 2.0 cd estate . 16" alloys with 225 x 55 x 16 tyres. Both front centre to arch 15.25 inch.
After changing new rear shocks yesterday I believe I need new fronts as well so this dimension is of interest to me too.
