Door card
« on: 20 January 2008, 13:20:31 »

How does the rear door card come off ? i've taken all the screws out round the outside edge and removed the window winder and taken the trim off the door release handle and the card is now loose all the way round but still won't come off, it seems to held somewhere in the centre of the card behind the grab handle but i can't get the grab handle/cup out so i can see whats holding it.

There are how to's in maintenance guides for door card removal, try page 4; This is for facelift, not sure if theres one for pre-facelift door cards.

Hi

You need to use a flat blade screwdriver and prise the rubber coated part of the handle out (towards the front of the car) there are lugs at the bottom of this piece so remove from the top first to prevent damage, behind that section of the handle is the screws you need to remove to get the panel off. If you need a pic let me know and ill get one sorted for you.

cheers

Steve

Found it  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

In the bottom of the grab handle/cup thingy theres a gromet that needs to be removed and theres a screw underneath. Not easy to get the gromet out without damageing it though.

I'll post some pics of the gromet location and screw later  :y

Thanks everyone  ;)
