I would have thought it would be more than that? At least 750-800?

Well it looks like mine needs adjusting slightly then. It idles at a nats cock below 500 rpm and switch on the eco switch and it goes up to 500 rpm. Another quick question, Is the eco switch supposed to be on to lower the fuel econamy and to stop the air con?

The ECO switch when on turns the air-con pump off, thus giving slightly better fuel economy.

Has the car had a good service lately, including cleaning the breather system and the IACV?

First check that the rev needle is at zero when the engine is off.  Could be the needle thats out of line, not the actual revs.

Can be checked with tech2, I believe....

Cleaning the idle valve with copious carb cleaner and shaking then giving it a slight lube with 3in1 oil (not WD40) will ensure the valse is doing its bit correctly.

Eco switch switches off the AC which removes the need for the AC compressor to be driven, hence system drops the revs accordingly.  Likewise when AC is on, aircon compressor is working and revs are raised to suit....

As far as I am aware No it hasn't but time permitting this will be done at the meet on the 23rd, (hopefully!!!!)  The unfortunate thing is I don't know the 3.0ltr so all this is new to me as this is the first time I have owned one. So if anyone is going to the meet on the 23rd then any help will be grateful  ;) ;)
