ambience lighting
« on: 10 October 2007, 18:03:14 »

I have seeen this a few times on cars and have a vauge idea how to do this but was looking for some suggestions/ideas/pointes on the finer points.

The plan was to get some low voltage bulbs, mount them on a PBC and place them around the inside of the car footwells ect to light it up at night, not in a neon type fashion  >:(, something more descreet.
One of the other ideas stems from something else i have seen pictured, and that was to have one of these lights intergrated into the rear view mirror with the light shining downward towards the centre console, as i said it would be a dimly lit blb, not enough to cause glare, but enough to provide a gentle spread of light.

My areas of weakness are the PCB, what would i need in that respect, the positioning and wiring i dont see as much of an issue

A couple of white leds mounted in the kick panels...would prob suffice....then all the wiring is hidden behind.

My vectraC used to have an orange led mounted in the rear view mirror pointing downwards to descretely alluminate the dash.
