OK, I know that I usually come out with some lightweight stuff, so I apologise for this being a bit heavier.

Now that makes my blood boil. How can we rape our environment like this in the name of going green? Gore is a dangerous halfwit, IMHO.  >:(

Anything of "perceived benefit" to the environment generates demand, which fuels people to find cheaper and less beneficial ways to manufacture it.

Same with organic food, which was no doubt very good for you and the environment when you used to buy it at the local farm shop. Then supermarkets jumped on the bandwagon and they do the bare minimum possible to keep the soil association happy with the "organic" label, then drive the stuff around the country in the back of an artic spilling diesel fumes everywhere before selling it. Completely defeats the object but the consumer sees the label he wants to and thinks no further than that.
