Cruise Control
« on: 15 February 2008, 20:16:28 »

Hello.

My owners manual is missing the pages refering to cruise control. Can anybody please tell me how to operate the cruise control, Omega 2.6 Elite. Thanks in advance,

Richard P.

There are 3 buttons at the end of the stalk.

Two at the top & one larger underneath.

The top nearer one (I think) (has a lump that sticks out slightly) sets the cruise at whatever speed you're at (& also increases your speed slightly if you press when in cruise).
The rear one (with a recess) will bring you back to the speed last set with the above button (or slow you down slightly when cruise is set.

The large button on the bottom cancels all.

Does that make sense  :-?

I think you need to be above 40mph before the cruise will engage :-/

I got mine to engage at 18mph... i use it often in 30 zones.

Snowfake, forces the gearbox to pull off in 2nd, used for winter when in snow

The manual reckons 19mph minimum speed before it will engage

  :-?

The top further one has the 'lump' and does exactly as Bo Bo described. Each tap of the button increase the speed by, I believe, 1.6mph or hold down for continuous acceleration.

The top button closest to you does the reverse i.e each tap reduces speed by 1.6mph  or hold down for continuous deceleration or if, for example you have set cruise control at 60mph and then had to use the brake pedal then again, as Bo Bo stated, a tap on this button will bring your speed back up to what you had previously set i.e. 60 mph.
