...... I can't see any other holes apart from the one the wiring loom is disappearing into, so need some more guidance as to how to clear it. Any takers? Thanks in advance.

Roll up right sleeve!!  ;D
There is a hole at the bottom somewhere for it to drain out from ....

The grommeted hole for the loom is a different hole from the drain hole. My drain hole is just behind the grommet. (just braved the cold to look)

Thanks mate appreciated. Scratched my arm to fook but who cares, whoosh!! Out came the water like the car gave birth to a mud pie!

Still no blower though, reckon its cos the loom is still wet?

I hear 'hummmm....phut phut phut phut' as if the fans gonna turn, then thats it. game over. Can replicate by moving the fan direction to its different positions (windscreen, driver, feet etc).

Is my fan shafted?

Aye, I thought that too. Being a muppet though I thought I'd check. Weird, I've got loads of initiative until it comes to motors!

Nice work you lot, over to the wanted section then! Cheers guys, the detective work begins  :'(

I can easily handle it though, as it was a bargain plus I like the car a lot. Only had it 24hrs (same as my auto driving skills) and I'm learning fast what to do with it  :y

Alrighty then..

The leak. This is what I can see in the morning center rear, is it petrol? The fact I reported earlier as being on the right must have been cos it was on 2 wheels on the pavement and its a long way down!

Can't smell to tell cos I have a bunged up hooter  :-/

Note the redundant Golf top left  ;D

I'd give on that mate and trade it in for that nice blue golf over the road ;D

I really doubt its petrol - looks too far back for starters (unless you drove forward.

If its oily its probably diff oil but I'd be surprised if it was dripping.   A look underneath will verify that - it will be leaking from either prop shaft or the drive shaft connections most likely.

If its more liquid I suspect its condensation.   Does it reappear during the day?

hehe I know - the golf has served me well and is a marvellous car, 1.8T 150brake, looks cool, a great fun drive especially with michelin F1 tyres on, but alas its still needing work and clocked up 113k so the value is plummeting. Also its £160/mo versus nil for the Omega, and being a self employed designer if I have a quiet month I still have a car at the end of it!

But back to the new beast on the block - the oil/whatever spots stretch down the length of the car (minimally), prob makes sense for it to be going along the shaft to be honest, obviously mainly seen at the back there. It appears every time its parked up, I've smelt it and can't determine what it is, not petrol though. The pic was taken whilst stationery, I've plans to move it and take a second pic if I can't get to the bottom of it.

Anything to worry abouut immediately though?
