OOF email and webspace
« on: 25 September 2007, 17:58:46 »

Following a successful trial, we are looking to launch an OOF email and webspace, but need to set pricing...

For a 50Mb POP3 mailbox £6 per year  (yourlogon@omegaowners.com)
For 50Mb of webspace £6 per year (http://yourlogon.omegaowners.com)
Both above £10 per year.

Do you think these prices are about right?

If you have a techie Qs on this, please reply here, and either myself or one of the trialists will try to answer :y

Sounds pretty good, if I didn't have "free" POP3 with my ISP; I'd seriously consider it....

it does sound very cheap, especially if the buyer will use it heavily

but that said, i dont know what the regular prices are for webspace and mailboxes!

Mail and webspace is good idea. But you will start spending too much time for maintenance..

Prices are normal I think..

I'm thinking along the lines of the trialists will get 6 months free from the launch date?

Hopefully, now we (should) have stability of the main OOF server, it should free up lots of time, hence the timing of this post ;)

Well some points about this

The web space is pretty reliable and ideal for HTML based sites like mine.

The email address has no spam traps so keep it safe!!!!

I haven't used webmail much just OE.

I will keep it going - and will pay when I have some money in my PAYPAL account :-[

I like the idea of an 'omegaowners' email address! Yes please!

Could the webspace be used for hosting pictures etc? Just thought it may speed up the loading of avatars and posted pics.........

I'd be interested in some web space. :y
As well as 50Mb for £6/year, how about 100Mb for a £10/year etc? :D
