oil leak (bad) help

i had a slight oil leak from rear of rocker cover changed it for one i got of ebay now it is leaking twice as bad.was it a bad move to get one from ebay only cost 6 quid i thought a gasket was a gasket no mater where it came from.i think the leak is at front of rocker when you look under you can watch the oil drip off the sump i have refitted the gasket 3 times and same leak every time if i go to vauxhall and get a new gasket will this stop leak car is a 2.0 w reg should i put instant gasket on aswell if anyone is local and wants to do it for me i will supply tae and biscuits thanks for all you help you guys are spot on

Non-genuine cam cover gaskets rarely last very long, I'm afraid. :-/ It's a part that's best bought genuine from Vauxhall.

In addition, ensure that the breathers are cleaned at the same time, as pressure building up due to blocked breathers is what kills the cam cover gaskets.

Edited to say: You need to put RTV sealant around the areas where the gasket has sharp bends. Either side of the cam bearing caps at the front and the half-moon sections are the rear, assuming the 4 pot is vaguely similar to the V6.

the breather at back thick one which is conected to a metal pole is blocked would this make gasket leak
