Automatic locking drivers door
« on: 02 March 2008, 18:42:07 »

Is there anyone out there who can advise on how to open the drivers door of my 2000 2.5TD ELITE when the pin is stuck down. Obviously I can't take the inner panel off as there are two fixing screws hidden by the dashboard unit. Any help would be appreciated

With mine nothing, it would help if there was a keyhole on the passenger door :o :o

Even with central locking I find it strange there being no keyhole on the passenger door.

The key won't turn and the inner release handle is disengaged.

Update!  In that good old fashioned computer solution "turn it off and turn it back on again" I have left my car overnight - having sprayed DW40 into the lock and down the pin and hey presto I have managed to "wiggle" the key around a bit and the pin has popped up - door open. I can now follow laidback66 instructions on how to remove the inner panel to see what the broblem is.

Thanks for your concern. Hope TheBoy finds a solution.
