Did the donor lights not have bulbs then?

Yes, the bulbs did change on the projectors.

The wiring and fit is totaly plug and play, nothing needs changing.

Fitting is much easier with the bumper off (which is dead easy to do)

Hi
I'm just doing the same upgrade to projectors.  Mine are used genuine Vx and came fitted with H1 dip bulbs.  Just as well because I want to transfer the HID conversion kit already fitted to my original h/lights (with H1's) to the projectors.  What make are your projectors.
Alan

Just had a sudden thought, although my "new" lights came with H1 dip bulbs, perhaps they are not the correct bulbs, perhaps they should be H7.  Must go and check if H1 & H7 have a common base, cannot remember of the cuff.

Elite now gone.  Bought an X-Type 4x4.  If there had been an Omega 4x4 I would have bought that instead.  We really liked the Omega, but I wanted 4x4.

Hi Guys
I did this a couple of weeks ago took just about an hour and required  a socket 10 mm extension bar and a phillips screwdriver.

I started by taking fog light surrounds off and undoing the two philips screws holding the headlight washer units off and the lower securing bolt.
Then removed front grill to expose the screw bolts holding the lower headlight surround and removed surround.
I then removed the two bolts holding the top of headlights and then unclip the three electric connectors. ( more room to remove plugs when lamps are able to pull forward. )
Reverse the procedure to assemble then down to your frendly mot matey to check headlight aim but to be truthfull if the doner lamps are off another vehical they should be near set
As i say took about an hour and it is well worth it I can now drive down unlite roads and see the road  8-)
YOU ALL TAKE CARE NOW

Hi Tony
I've just checked on my lights.  On the old lights both main & dip are H1. On the projectors dip is still H1, its the MAIN beam that changes to H7.
