fob stopped working

hi folks

can anyone help , after switching off my 2.5 td cd auto this morning , i got a hi pitched bleep from the cabin for about 20 seconds and now my fob wont set system ,  no diplay of any fault apart from the bleeping and doors lock with key .I dont have any  diagnostic s/ware etc ,  has anyone heard of this???

It may be the battery inside the fob coming away from the pcb, this happened to me - just needed re attaching.

 ... and then re-sync'ing. Key in, ignition on, press lock or unlock (can never remember ::)) & your doors should lock & then unlock. Key is now syncronised.
