Help with Results from 2.5td `97
« on: 10 March 2008, 15:16:23 »

hi, i just did the paperclip test on an Omega B 2.5td 97 and got these results : 12 41 64 92.
I searched for the ECU fault codes and got these explanations:
12-initiation of diagnosis
41-vehicle speed sensor
64-EST line coil cylinder 1&4
92-camshaft sensor.

If the camshaft sensor is a plastic 2 pin cylinder located under the starter facing the bell housing of the gearbox that has been replaced and i still get the code 92.
As far as the rest go i do not know where they r located or what to look for. Could anyone help please. :'(

Anyway, assuming its a DDE 2.1:

41 - Boost Pressure Voltage Low
64 - Fuel Quantity Out of Range
92 - Cruise Control device open circuit  << normal if no cruise stalk fitted.

Strangely enough it is paperclipable- I was suprised too (when it worked)!
Thank you for clarifying those codes.

I know Landrovers that use the same BMW 2.5TDS engine are paperclippable, but every Omega I've seen are missing the pins!

Thank you for the help. BTW, i have searched for ECU codes for this engine(2.5td) but cannot seem to find `em. Is there a web page in particular you could refer me to, to find them?
Thanx again

Why don't we (Traktor owners) all check if we have the pins!

Where are they & what are we looking for? :)

this is a diagnose port that is located (on this car-Omega B `97 2.5td-Greece) under the steering colum (where the fuse box is) next to the relays. here is a pic (which i actually d/l from this site)

I recognise that paperclip ::) - but that was on my MV6.

I am not aware of any website for TD codes.  I'll see if I can produce something...
