Cars running like a dream

Got my car back today new MAF sensor new IACV and something else which im not sure about a valve thats attached to the exhaust manifold that was stuck half open letting in too much air anyone any ideas what it is.  Anyway its runnng like a dream well chuffed excellent service from the chaps I bought it off, no problems at all makes a change from being ripped off then fobbed off with excuses. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :y

Good to here of a honourable garage, :) :) :) :) name them.
(it couldn't be VX dealer, could it ?)

Not sure of the name of the garage as the car is under warranty, bought from a local 2 man operation, its somebody they use.  If I get the name I'll post it.

Its a shame they fitted so much stuff when all it probably needed was an EGR valve...

Out of interest, what were the symptoms?  Would a sticking EGR cause lower-than-expected idle revs/rough idling? Anything else?

One of the things I keep meaning to have a look at on ours...

Glad to hear it's fixed .. and with a few extra nice new bits for free .. should go a while without problems now .. :)

One of the things I keep meaning to have a look at on ours...

It had the classic Omega idling prob and it struggled to rev past the 4000 rpm mark.  Sorted now though ;D
