crank shaft sensor

hello all ,would it be bad on the car if i disconect the crankshaft at the oil filter to see if its causing the prob,as i cant det the codes read till after easter and its putting my head away  :'(. and hope you all have a nice time over easter  :y

Do you not mean crankshaft sensor :-/
If you disconnect this it wont run much at all......

2.2 will run without crankshaft sensor, its a bugger to start though.
