Rear Heated Leather Seats
« on: 22 March 2008, 10:05:15 »

Could somebody send me a picture of what the wiring plugs look like under the seat base on a Elite.I am trying ???to get the rera heated seats working and need to know what the connections should look like.
All I seem to have is 2 wires coming up under the carpet by transmission tunnel with no connectors on them and then just the wires and plugs out of the seats.I have the switches either side of rear ciggy lighter which do light up when pressed.A picture of what it should look like would help a lot.

should all be plug and play !! loom under rear seats and switches near fag lighter ! if the switches are lighting up could be that the elements in seat are faulty or the timer relays in seat base are faulty  :(

Phill....your a top man. I think I have now collected all the bits I need for the seats just unsure wh they dont all plug together.I seem to have 2 wires coming out from under the rear seat /transmision tunnel carpet without any connectores on them ..just brass coloured spades,They don,t seem to resemble any thing on the wiring looms I have bought so need to understand where these join..or are they missing a fitting ??

Phill...sorry to say no pictures arrived ??Thanks for advise Zirk, but as eplained all I seem to have is 2 wires which appear from the carpet under the seats and end in a copper spade connecter.Thats it !! nothing else !!Then I have the wires with connectors on coming from both the seat bases and the backs but nothing to connect the whole lot together.I have bought what I think is the correct bits of wiring with the relays but the connectors don,t seem to match up..hence the need to have a picture of what it should look like under the seat base so I can try and "cobbled"the lot together..am sure something is still missing though.

Easy way to add pictures.

Use a hosting site like image shack or photo bucket. I'll put a link at the bottom to the one I use. Upload your photo and when it finishes you will see html code options. Copy and paste the code for forums and just add to your post.

Still be a good idea Phill to post the pictures on the forum.  If someone else has the same problem sometime in the future, they will be able to find this post in a search and the pictures would be a great help for them too.  :y
