what can i clean on my engine?

First thing to clean is the breathers as per the maintenance guide.

Whilst its off you can clean the plenum exterior up, TFR works well for that.

Does the plenum come apart at all cos its a proper pig to clean. I used welding wire and a full tin of carb cleaner and it was still coming out black!!  :( :o

The breather has it`s seams plastic-welded along it`s edges; best NOT to try and open it as it would surely break.

For a thorough clean, I left my breather soaking overnight [size=9](after removing the 3 O-rings first)[/size] in an oblong foil-tray [size=9](Take-away curry type)[/size] with carb cleaner about 3/4" deep and sealed the lid tightly to limit evapouration.....`next morning the carbon-goo had dissolved and a further quick-squirt with carb-cleaner flushed out to leave spotless.  :y
