Wing Replacement
« on: 20 April 2008, 10:53:12 »

Today is a nice day. I bought a wing off Ebay exact same Colour &Trim in fact its off a same year/model Omega ('96 estate in Mett Green) all for £17.99! So Im going to change it today. I see Ill have to remove the bumper, inner arch and headlight. Any nasties I should look for? Is the wing indicater wire connecter behind the wing or engine bay?

It was an absolute joy when it came together nicely!! remove wheel, inner wheel & front grille. Remove lower headlight trim. I loosened the headlight to make things easier to prise bumper forward. I found a cushion/padding with pipework and a fan tucked in to the\ rear part of the wing. took the multi plug off the repeater. remove two bolts from the front of the wing, two at the door end then the row down the top. Before refitting move the trim and bumper fixtures then fit the new new in reverse order of removal. even lining up the wing was easy enough! total time ; 1.5hours The longest bit wsa having a cup of tea halfway through.  ;D
