Looked at one today and the bloke who is selling it says its got a 3.2 engine in it, can this be  :question

Its only about 6% increase on a 3 litre could that come from being bored out?

It is a 3 litre, but he says it has had a police spec engine fitted to it at a later date   :-/

If you buy it mate, make sure the alteration, ie engine size and engine numbers match the vehicle reg document, if its had another engine all the details should be recorder on the doc.

Just switched my brain on and disproved my rebore theory, at +60 it would only come out at 3063cc.

 :-/3.3 rings a bell but that might be in my Cresta (frothy man) days. Try checking engine or block numbers. Also GSI something or other comes to mind.

A load of 13ollocks. Police had exactly the same engine spec as Joe Public had .. same as Omegas.

Which is why they were a little pi$$ed when VX released the Lotus Carlton that had an official top speed of 167MPH and could easily out accelerate them......

Sorry, think I transposed it, It's 176MPH officially and unofficially I think someone has pushed one beyond 180....
