overheating
« on: 29 April 2008, 12:12:18 »

I turned off the ignition after parking on the drive the cooling fan was running and what looked like steam came out from under the bonnet on the drivers side.
I turned the ignition on to find engine temp 97degrees. I am looseing
coolent very small amount 1/2 pint 2weeks if that, I suspect a  leak around the oil cooler does anyone agree or dissagree  :-/

Its a water valve behind the engine (slightly to the drivers side).....its clearly not overheating at 98 degrees which is good news but, you do have a water lek.

Would agree with Mark, Oil cooler is on the passengers side...HBV (Heater Bypass Valve) is drivers side...just behind the engine far left side of the plenum (as you look at the engine bay)
