Don't know how but thank god its passed!!  

Its now legal for another 12 months, the gearbox however is not sounding good, worse than ever. So i need to change that ASAP...

Sitting on the driveway revving it away, it acutally sounded ok. 95% of the scary noises this car makes is from the box. The box is also giving a duff speed sensor reading, so the speedo and sensenative steering is not working  

Anyone fancy helping me change the gearbox??

nope. as i told you before, fubar ABS unit...  ...worth cleaning and gapping sensors though...

Yes, but its only used by the auto box ecu....speedo signal comes from the ABS where the sensors are post diff.
