17 knock sensor 2

I've looked on TIS,
I've looked in the web.

Can anyone show me where on the engine this is?

Cos mines broke :(

I dunno what side code 17 is
But the drivers side one is behind the alternator.
Seemingly the pass side one is on the opposite bank same position.
I had to fix the drivers side one - wire had rubbed on pulley & snapped. joined the cable & all sorted

Somebody more knowledgable should be along soon to confirm/disagree with this.

On a V6 the Knock Sensor comes up from behind the alternator and plugs in just above the horizontal cable tray above the Aux Tensioner Pulley...if that makes sense

And most likely the cause is the cable caught under cam cover, and damaged it.

If its likely to be a wire issue i guess i shouldn't rush out and buy a new one just yet?
