2 little questions
« on: 04 May 2008, 14:47:04 »

1st, on my display in the bottom right hand corner it says "check" what do I need to do?

Secondly I need to obtain the CD code for my car, I have the radio code but the cd one, can this still be obtained from Vauxhall (98 S reg car) or can I get it anywhere else ie on the net somewhere?

For the check, you need to cycle through the displays with one of the buttons on the right hand stalk. It should tell what is triggering the message.

Post up type of vehicle and engine to make life easier.

Codes are on your car pass.

Just the standard cassette head unit (ccr600) and the Blaupunkt cd changer in the boot.
Trouble is I dont have the vehicle manual pack with the car only the code for the radio on a card but there is definately no sepreate code for the CD on it.

CHECK means the check control is picking something up. Should tell you what mean to turn ign on.

CD code different from radio code, and is on your carpass. If lost, can be obtained from dealer, but shop around, as they vary in price!

Thanks, I got the cd code online in the end check my thread in the ICE section.
The check message is "Low Coolant" but there is plenty of collant in the reservoir and she isnt using any so im guessing its a sensor issue.

I've had a low-ish success rate in repairing the sensor.

If you can live without the sensor, short out the wiring to it.

lmao, went out and checked it, bloody plug wasnt plugged in, plugged it in expecting to still see the warning but its cleared so it looks like the sensor work fine.

Apart from the gearbox issue this is turning out to be a good car, im seriusly hoping ive cured the box now too.
