slight (i hope) gearbox problem
« on: 22 May 2008, 23:20:11 »

right.
got a 3 litre elite auto and, every now and then, the gearbox seems to slip into 'snow' mode (the light doesnt illuminate, but it drives like it does when thebutton is pressed), but if i turn the ignition off and back on, its fine until it does it again.

any ideas?

yep, like he said. My cdx started banging when engaging drive from park. Found a guide on here how to change the auto box fluid , also from memory, sumat about selector switch on side affecting ice mode(?) if oil change does not help. Its all there somewhere.

Depending on the milage, I would even go as far as to do a gearbox oil and filter change :y

Sounds like it's going into "limp" mode rather than snow mode. Any dashboard warning lights coming on?
