Personally I wanted Alonso to be made to get out of Hamilton's way, but he never had a chance after his gearbox was spiked

Funny how he had very good reliability all season then the last race hes sat there coasting watching his title fly past him.

Yeah , i thought that.

I used to like him , thought he was a worthy champion , but have to agree with blundell, i thought the way he handled himself this season was childish and silly. If i was him and had won by my scheming antics , i wouldnt feel like a worthy champion. I would have felt like a cheat!

The race director must have thought the same thing, cos there was zero coverage of Alonso until the end.  Made for exciting viewing though, which is often lacking these days in F1.

Gone are the days of Senna and Prost wheel to wheel. Or was it Senna and Mansell wheel to wheel. Was only youngish when that happened.

I had the same debate in the pub today before the race and earlier last week e.g., for Hamilton to win in his first year could potentially throw the interest for next year off, it is a shame he did'nt win, and will make next season even more exciting to watch ..........and on that point if Hamilton did win, would we be thinking that next season would be good to watch?

Don't know what happened with Hamilton but if he had been a bit slower last race and came in third for example he would have a big trophy now.
