Ferrari won due to superior pace, not Alsonso not trying. Hamilton had a box problem, and they were frantically trying different programs to get it working.

3 stops, given his position after the 8th lap works out quicker buy around 10s than his (planned) 2 stopper.

No conspiracy.
Well done to Kimi - he deserved it :y

Shame on McLaren for launching a 'sour grapes' appeal.

Exactly

I think alot of people will/do disagree. I think there is alot that goes on behind the scenes and noone will truly know the truth.

the right man won in the end. how did mclaren know about this fuel temp scandel, best they focus on next year with lewis and get another driver who is a bit more team orientated.

Bet they will be using cold fuel next year, and anything else they can get thier hands on.

by thier stds ok to use 2 sets of tyres
ok to cut up Kimi on practice lap

But dont you do anything to us or we will appeal, and throw our toys out of the car.

TAG an excellent engineering company
maclaren an average auto eng company
Ferrari are an auto eng company and only auto eng

Perhaps they where using the controversial damper on the front as they did in Aus at the start, before mclaren got thier hands on thier tyre data.

Give me a break.  >:(

All the F1 teams have very highly-skilled engineers on their books. To call any one an "average auto eng company" is plainly wrong, IMHO.

As far as tactics are concerned, all F1 teams/drivers have acted dubiously at times. Take MS parking his Ferrari at Monaco a couple of years ago, for instance. And, as for "cutting up" Kimi in practice, he certainly got his own back at the first corner in the race.

For me, the F1 season can be summed up by saying:
Kimi is a worthy champion  :y
Lewis has been little short of brilliant  :y
McLaren were fined excessively  :(
Ferrari are not untarnished (see Australia)  ::)

Hit the nail right on the head Nickbat. :y

I think my whole point of this thread was to provoke a bit of reaction and dicussion and it's certainly done that!! ;) Some very interesting differing points of view out there.
As said previously, there's so much that goes on behind closed doors in this sport, it's virtually impossible to know where the truth lies, and my opinion that there was more to this than meets the eye is unchanged. :P
