Steering wheel noise
« on: 12 June 2008, 22:23:06 »

I have a squeak coming from behind my steering wheel the quicker the movement the higher the sound. I removed the covers and tried spray lub but have not been successful in stopping the noise.

Has this started to happen during the recent hot weather?

If so it is usually due to the expansion of the plastic covers around the shaft which eventually start rubbing on it when you turn the wheel.
