HBV failed, will heater off help?
« on: 12 July 2008, 17:01:36 »

went to the Reading meet today, had a chat, all had a look at my car, bit of admiration for
3.2 elite, look under bonnet, etc etc... very nice. no problems with it very reliable very happy with it bla bla... walk away, then nice young laidy asks, have you got a water leak? Well had a phew beers last night i'm thinking, but nothing to excessive, and there under my car is a bloody great puddle of water. Its dripping off the back of the gear box, anyway, pretty sure its the HBV as the bottom of it is wet. Is there a heater setting that will stop it leaking while i drive to work (6am start) in slough then to garage to get an hbv and back to Reading, without needing a 50 gallon drum of coolant, koz at the rate its coming out i will have to fill up every 5 miles. Ta.
