Comet had a deal on a Panasonic camera a few weeks ago with 10 x Optical zoom, 8 Megapixel, steadyshoot function. Need to replace my elderly Canon but as it's still working I can't quite force myslef to spend the money yet!!!

Here's a link for you Miggy:

http://www.digital-cameras.com/xlp-panasonic_lumix.html

I've had my Lumix DMC FX50 for over a year now, so it's a bit old hat.   ;)

I'm quite impressed with my Canon Ixus 700.  Its point and shoot, so not a pros camera, but best point and shoot I've ever used.

Not sure what the new ones are like though.
