Heater bypass valve

My. heater bypass valve has had the vaccum nipple (ooh err) snapped off. I've plugged the vaccum take off from the the servo pipe but what sort of issues am I going to incounter running the car like this?

For the cost of the HBV and the fact its DIY able i would just change it  :y.

If it fails it will make a mess, and an uncomforrtable journey home if it dumps its coolant when your driving.

I do intend to replace it but I've got to use the car for work till the weekend. So just asking what the consequences are to using it as is

in that case be gentle, dont push it and check your coolant / temperature.

I suspect you will either get lots of heat or none at all. :)

I think (but I could very easily be wrong!) that without the vacuum connection you will not get any heat in the cabin - ie. no coolant flow through the matrix.

seem to have plenty of heat but the aircon is a bit well poo. The compressor is working right. Does this sound right?

I seem to recall without vac, heat will flow through matrix
